- Running of the Sports Department
- Running of the Office of the M.U. Sports Committee - Asst. Director of Sports functions as the Secretary of the MUSC.
- Sponsoring/Holding of the M.U. Inter College Sports Tournaments
- Sending of M.U. Sports teams for AIU sponsored Zonal/Inter Zonal/All India Inter University Sports Tournaments.

- Sports Talent Scholarships to the students’ sports persons of the University through the SAI
- Sending of P.G. Classes Sports Teams for Inter College Sports Tournaments.
- Issue of M.U. Representation Sports Certificates.
- Collection of fees for the issue of M.U. Representation Sports Certificates.
