Dr. Ganesh Sethi, (MA, MJMC, LLB, Ph.D) started his career as a teacher since 2005 after completion of his Ph.D from Berhampur University, Odisha.
He was a lecturer at the Rajiv Memorial Institute of Technology, Berhampur from 2005 to 2008.
Later, he joined as Assistant Professor at the Department of Mass Communication , Manipur University in the year 2008. He took charge as Head of Department for 4 years from 2014 -17 for the Department of Mass Communication, Manipur University. So far he has produced four Ph.D students and currently four more students are pursuing research under his guideship. More than Seventeen articles and research papers were published in several nationals and international journals and magazines. One book titled "Reporting and its Techniques" has also been published to his credit in the year 2016.
More than 18 papers have been presented at different seminars and conferences across the country.
Additionally, he has visited many universities and institutions within the country on different assignments and capacities. As a resource person of Human Resource Development Centre of Manipur University, he regularly involves into interaction programmes and classes conducted by the centre. He has delivered numbers of talks and lectures on various topics and aspects at the Centre.
He has attended many other training programmes and courses so far. Two teachers training programme (Refresher Course) - one is Academic Staff College, Andhra University, Vishakapatnam, and Academic Staff College Rajasthan University, Jaipur are few to mention.
Dr. Sethi has been engaged in setting examination papers and also as an evaluator and external examiner for both PG and Ph.D examinations for many other universities and institutions in the country. He is actively involved in the field study and media tours of the students of his department. His areas of specialization are electronic media, advertisement and public relations.
