Research collaboration: Many International and National collaborations have been undertaken through Department of Science Technology, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Earth Science:

  • Manipur University and National Geotechnical Institute (NGI) Oslo, Norway for measurement of shallow surface deformations by Fault Deformeter along an active fault at Manipur (DST)

  • MU and Defence Terrain Research Laboratory, (Minister of Defence) in Landslides Hazards Mitigations.

  • Russian Academy of Science (RAS) Moscow for Earthquake Hazards in NE India (DST).

  • Research contributions in NE India

  • Actively involved in Polar studies at North Pole Expedition for a period of six summer seasons for Isostatic Rebound Measurement at a very slow moving Arctic Plate due to climate change. (sponsored by Ministry of Earth Sciences)

  • North East School Earthquake Laboratory Programme (NESELP) is initiated under the egies of Ministry of Earth Sciences Government of India in April 2009. Sixty schools were equipped with school earthquake laboratories in NE India with an objective to inculcate the habits of school children in the measurement of the earthquake phenomenon by their school teachers. The initial training was provided to the various school teachers to take the necessary routine work of their school earthquake observatories. Since, the school teachers are well experienced to teach their students, therefore, attempts have been made to train them about the earthquake measurement so that they can made further attempts in their respective schools. Finally, these students were become the part of creating earthquake awareness in the society. (sponsored by Ministry of Earth Sciences)
