Date 23/10/2019: Inaugural Function of XXXIII Manipur University Inter-College Youth Festival-2019 have been conducted at Centenary Hall, Manipur University, Canchipur on Wednesday the 23rd October 2019 at 11:30 am.
Shri Jarnail Singh, Administrator/Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University, Prof. N. Rajmuhon Singh, Dean, School of Mathematical & Physical Sciences, Prof. G.A. Shantibala Devi, Dean, School of Life Sciences, Prof. Ch. Yashawanta Singh, Dean, School of Humanities, Prof. RAS Kushwaha, Dean, School of Human & Environmental Sciences and Prof. Th. Ratankumar Singh, Dean, Students' Welfare, have graced the function as the chief guest, guests of honour and president respectively. The main theme of the youth festival is "Youth for the Future of the Nation".
The first day (23/10/2019) of three days (23-25 October 2019) 33rd Inter-College Youth Festival 2019 have cultural procession. The cultural procession have been participated by students from around twenty six colleges in different part of the state. The cultural procession was started from the Dean, Office of Students' Welfare and come to an end at the Centenary Hall, Manipur University. Souvenir of 33rd Inter-College Youth Festival 2019 was also released during the inaugural function. The Inter-College Youth Festival comprise with various events like Music(Classical Vocal Solo-Hindustani or Karnatak, Classical Instrumental Solo -Percussion/Non-Percussion, Light Vocal -Indian, Western Vocal-Solo,Flok Orchestra, Western Instrumental-Solo), Dance (Folk/Tribal Dance, Classical Dance), Literary (Quiz, Elocution, Debate), Theatre (One Act Play, Skits, Mime, Mimicry), Fine Arts (On the Spot Painting, Collage, Poster Making, Clay Modeling, Cartooning, Rangoli, Spot Photography, Installation, Mehandi),etc,.
