Manipur University, January 30, 2025 – Manipur University (MU), Imphal, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Information Technology Manipur (IIIT Manipur) on January 30, 2025, in Imphal, marking a significant step towards strengthening academic excellence and research collaborations between the two esteemed institutions.
The MoU was signed by Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University, and Prof. Krishnan Baskar, Director, IIIT Manipur, with the objective of fostering holistic research collaborations, funding initiatives, joint research projects, student exchange programs, and overall knowledge sharing. Additionally, the partnership will facilitate collaborative conferences, seminars, and workshops, benefiting both institutions and society at large.
Highlighting the significance of this collaboration, Prof. Krishnan Baskar emphasized the importance of high-quality research projects and student exchange programs between higher educational and research institutions for knowledge expansion and the overall development of Manipur.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the partnership, Prof. N. Lokendra Singh underscored the role of mutual cooperation in research and development for societal progress.
The signing event was also attended by Dr. Nongmeikapam Kishorjit Singh, Registrar, IIIT Manipur, and Prof. N. Basanta Singh, Dean, School of Engineering & Principal, Manipur Institute of Technology.
