Manipur University, 21st March 2025 – The Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT), in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur, successfully conducted an Online Hands-On Workshop on Virtual Lab at the MIT MU Campus on 21st March 2025, starting at 10:30 AM. Supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (formerly MHRD) under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NME-ICT), the workshop aimed to equip students with practical skills in virtual laboratory tools and simulations.
Resource persons from IIT Kharagpur expertly led the sessions, guiding participants through interactive virtual experiments and advanced laboratory techniques. The workshop was segmented into three specialized sessions tailored to diverse engineering disciplines:
EE/ECE Room: Focused on Electrical and Electronics Engineering experiments.
CSE Room: Covered Computer Science and programming-oriented virtual labs.
CE/ME Room: Provided hands-on training for Civil and Mechanical Engineering students.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 280 students and 30 faculty members, who actively engaged in exploring real-world applications of virtual lab technologies. The hands-on format fostered interactive learning, innovation, and a deeper understanding of cutting-edge tools.
MIT extends its heartfelt gratitude to IIT Kharagpur for their invaluable collaboration and expertise. The institute looks forward to organizing more such initiatives to advance technical education and empower future innovators.
