Manipur University, 7 April, 2025: Manipur University Health Centre and Acme Fertility and HealthCare Centre jointly organised Free Gynae OPD as part of the observation of World Health Day with a motto “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures” on 7 April 2025 at Manipur University, Health Centre.
The health camp was attended by Acme Fertility and HealthCare Centre fertility experts Dr. Mrinalini Konjengbam, Dr Ranjeeta Angomchanu, Dr. Thoudam Rentibala as guest speakers. Meanwhile, Medical Officer of MU Dr. Pinky Lamabam as coordinator of the event.
Speaking at the event Dr. Mrinalini Konjengbam, Medical Superintendent, Acme Fertility and HealthCare Centre highlighted that the health camp will create awareness among the female students and staff relating to female reproductive organs and its diseases, providing a safe space to discuss pre-menopausal symptoms and other common gynaecological problems. She mentioned that it is important for healthcare experts to interact with young students and address problems relating to health issues for their personal and academic growth.
Dr. Pinky Lamabam, Medical Officer (In-charge) MU, urged female students and staff members to take advantage of the gynae OPD by getting free consultation with a team of gynaecologists at the camp.
More than 40 patients have registered for the free gynae OPD at the Centre, ensuring regular check-up of health. Manipur University Health Centre actively organises free mega health camps including cervical cancer screening and awareness programme, tuberculosis awareness and screening camp and several other OPDs for students and staff of the university ranging from ENT to gynae, providing routine health check-up facilities, benefitting thousands of students and employees of the university.
