Manipur University, 07/05/2022: A two-day Seminar/Workshop with the Vice-Chancellors and Registrars of all Central Universities and the Ministry of Education (MoE) funded deemed to be Universities of the North-Eastern states was held from 6th to 7th May 2022 at Manipur University, Imphal.
The Seminar was chaired by Dr R.K. Ranjan Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State, Education and External Affairs, Government of India as Chief Guest. The function started with a candle lighting ceremony.
Prof. N. Lokendro Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University, welcomed and felicitated the Hon’ble Minister of State, Vice-Chancellors, Directors, Registrars, Officials of the Ministry of Education(MoE), University Grant Commission(UGC) and other representative Officers participated in the Seminar.
Ms Kamini Chauhan Ratan, Joint Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, addressed the opening remarks.
Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State, delivered the inaugural address. The Minister stated that the seminar on Academia and Intellectual of the region will unfold the true potential and strength in contributing works, and views towards building a new India.

In the technical session, the Vice-Chancellors/representatives of respective Universities have delivered their past experience and vision of their universities using a PowerPoint presentation. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Jitendra K. Tripathi, Joint Secretary(UGC) and followed by a Cultural Programme at the Centenary Hall of the Manipur University.
