National Workshop on "Janjatiya Anusandhan: Asmita Astiva evam Vikas" at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 27-28 November 2022

Manipur University, 28/11/2022: Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University participated the two-day National Workshop on "Janjatiya Anusandhan: Asmita Astiva evam Vikas" at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 27-28 November 2022.

The Government of India has declared 15th November as ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas’ to pay tribute to Tribal Freedom Fighters- the Unsung Heroes of the Freedom Struggle. The National Commission for
Scheduled Tribes, a Constitutional body under Article 338A of the Constitution of India, has decided to organise national workshop as part of the celebration of “Janjatiya Gaurav Divas”.

The workshop had organised on 27th-28th November, 2022 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi wherein eminent Academicians belonging to Scheduled Tribes, serving in the various Universities across India had also participated. A compendium of the brief reports of the programmes and exhibition amongst the Scheduled Tribes’ students held on the occasion of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahatosav” in 125 Universities across the country is being published. The compendium was released in public during this workshop. This National Workshop was concluded in Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi wherein the Hon’ble President of India, Her Excellency, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji address the delegates from across the country.
