Virtual Lecture Workshop on Recent Trends of Spectroscopy on Material, Nanomaterial and Biological Sciences

Science Academies’ Education Programme sponsored Virtual Lecture Workshop on Recent Trends of Spectroscopy on Material, Nanomaterial and Biological Sciences organized by the Department of Physics, Manipur University from 27-29 September 2021 has been completed successfully today. Participants from across the country have actively participated in this 3-days Lecture Workshop. Eminent Resource persons from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, Institute of advanced study in Science and Technology (IASST) Guwahati, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, Advanced Center for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer(ACTREC), TMC, Mumbai, NIT Meghalaya and Manipur University have delivered lectures in this 3-days virtual lecture workshop. The talks covered the characterization of materials and nanomaterials using Raman, IR, Photoluminescence, NMR and other spectroscopic techniques and their application in cancer therapy, biomedical sciences, especially in cancer treatment, soft-matters, light-emitting nanophosphors, respectively. The Convener and Coordinator of the workshop are Prof. Joyanti Chutia, FNASc, Emeritus Professor, IASST, Guwahati and Dr.Th.Gomti Devi, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Manipur University.
