Samandram Sushilkumar Singh (Ph.D. Scholar)
Ph.D. Registration No. 3878 of 2017
Supervisor: Prof. Naorem Mohilal Meitei, Department of Zoology, Manipur University
Thesis Title: “Mononchid Nematodes of Mizoram”
Research Highlights:
Mononchs, one of the predatory nematodes are used as biocontrol agents of phytophagous nematode. Soil samples are collected from different parts of Mizoram, analysed and examined. Morphotaxonomy and molecular characterization of the mononchid nematodes of Mizoram along with bio-control of phytophagous nematodes are studied.
SOROKHAIBAM MEXICO SINGH (Ph.D. Scholar)
Ph.D Registration No. : 3877 of 2017
Supervisor : Professor Naorem Mohilal Meitei, Department of Zoology, Manipur university
TITLE OF THESIS: TAXONOMICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF THE CRICONEMATID NEMATODES OF MIZORAM
Research highlight:
Criconematid nematodes is one of plant parasitic nematodes and that are main predators other than disease causing micro-organism like virus, bacteria and fungi to the plants. They cause various diseases in different varieties of plant including agricultural crops, wild plants etc. Soil samples are collected from different parts of Mizoram, analysed and examined. Morpho-taxonomical characterization and molecular characterization of the criconematid nematodes of Mizoram along with bio-control of phytophagous nematodes are studied.
Pradipkumar Laishram (Ph.D. Scholar)
Ph.D. Registration Number: 3640 of 2017
Supervisor: Dr. M. Premjit Singh, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Manipur University
TITLE OF THESIS: Generalised Slant Hankel Operator
Research highlight:
The thrust area of his research is to combine the Slant Hankel Operator and Slant Toeplitz Operator by a single operator which in turn will satisfy the same properties of the two operator.
