The University Health Centre provides health care to the students, staff members, scholars, residents of the Campus and also to all the out-patients from the surrounding areas of the University Campus. It is headed by a Chief Medical Officer, a Resident Medical Officer (PT), one Dental Surgeon (PT), four female staff nurses, one male Staff nurse, one Pharmacist cum store keeper, one physiotherapist, two ambulance drivers, and one medical attendant. The facility for physiotherapists is also available in the Health Centre.
The main objective of the Health Centre is to provide health care to all to the extent possible. The Health Centre also provides medical attention and care during the University Week, Youth Festivals, Sports meets, NSS Camps, etc. The Centre also arrange yearly Pulse Polio immunisation, Voluntary Blood Donation camp, Covid-19 vaccination from time to time.
The centre is getting specialist facilities for Eye, E.N.T. and Skin from Regional Institute of Medical Science, Imphal for two days in a month as an Urban Centre. Every second Thursday of every month, the Centre in collaboration with Shija hospitals is opening an ENT OPD.
