Official Language Cell

Official Language Cell, Manipur University was established in the year 2012. The function of the cell comprises of translation work of annual report, annual accounts, audit reports, ordinance and all other circulars/orders/official correspondence as and when required. Preparation of bilingual name plates, boards, rubber stamps etc. are also done through the cell. It’s activities include conducting quarterly meetings with the members of the Official Language Implementation Committee in order to achieve the targets of annual programme issued by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs. Preparation of the minutes of the meetings conducted and preparation of quarterly progress report of the action taken and submitting the same for inspections to MHRD, Ministry of Home Affairs and Parliamentary Committee on Official Language are also a part of the activities of the cell.
